She was predeceased by: her parents, William "Bill" Sagle and Esther Sagle (Ault); her sister Margaret Sagle; her great grandchildren, Tristan and Jayden; the father of her children Warren M. Casto Jr.; her mother-in-law Barbara Shaffer; and her close friend Pookie.
She is survived by: her husband Larry Shaffer; her children, William Casto (Peggy) of Kenton, Warren Casto (Kelly) of Athens County, Susan Burns (Richard) of Sidney and Julie Bowles (James) of Urbana; her siblings, Dave Sagle (Shery), Jim Hutchins (Angie) and Terri Perkins (Terry); and her siblings-in-law, Bob Shaffer (Sherry) and Barbara Shaffer. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, & a host of friends.
