It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sylvia Frances Markley of Springfield, Ohio, who passed away on November 11, 2023, at the age of 103, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Andrew Riffle and Luella Kate Dye Riffle; her husband Lester "Sid" Markley; her siblings, Paul Riffle (Elsie), Helen Chatfield (Carl), Mamie Russell and William Riffle (Margie); and her friends, Martha Williams Weekley (Roy) and Almena Lehman Jodan (Clyde).

She is survived by: her children, Barbara (John Korb), Thomas (Carla Markley) and Carol (Michael Mahaffey); her grandchildren, Kenric Rose (Dawn), Aaron Markley (Becky), Jamie Mahaffey (Lisa), Emilie Tyree (Chris), Heather Sollohub (David), Kate Mahaffey Bertelson, Amanda Markley, Kelli Critell (Anthony), Elizabeth Kelly (Sarah) and Kasey Mahaffey (Eric Fleming); her great grandchildren, Christina Branham (Eli), Jason, Justin, Jona Mahaffey, Hannah, Haley, Ben Sollohub, Aidan Markley, Kate Thompson, Kendal, Landon Bertelson, Kendra Mahaffey, Eli Kelly, Cassie Critell, George and Gerald Bean; and her sister-in-law Sue Ballantine Markley (Kenneth).
