He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas R. Dunn and Marianne Dunn (Dougherty); and his wife Maura Dunn (Sprecace). He is survived by: his sons, Timothy John "TJ" Dunn and Ryan Patrick Dunn; his siblings, Tom Dunn (Kim), Nancy Lemmons (Danny), James Dunn (Debra) and John Dunn (Susie); and his niece Nichole Smiddy. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.

Visitation was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Conroy Funeral Home (1660 E High St, Springfield, OH 45505). A memorial service was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the same location.
