He was predeceased by: his parents, James and Barbara Blair Sr. (Hazlett); his wife Robin Patrick; his grandsons, Steven and Robert; and his brother Michael Blair.

He is survived by: his children, Tabitha Patrick and Dwayne Patrick (Betsy); his stepchildren, Andrew Trimble, Adam Short and Amber Short; his grandsons, Brian Adkins III and Dalton Patrick; and his siblings, Doris 'Lynn" Shepeard and Paul Blair (Regina). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
