He was predeceased by: his parents, William H. Silvey and Ruby Mahaffey Silvey; his daughter Tracy Silvey; and his brothers, Ronald "Butch" Silvey and Donald "Donnie" Silvey.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Pickrell Silvey; his daughter Sara Silvey; his grandchildren, Donovan Holloway (Katelyn) and Adonis Davis; his great grandchild Hezekiah Holloway; and his siblings, Doris Applegate and Rick Silvey (Veronica).
