He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Sheppard and Kathryn Sheppard (Schneider); his wife JoEtta Schorle; his in-laws, Jerry and Betty Schorle; and his brothers-in-law, Robin Prinkey and David Flaker.
He is survived by: his son Todd; his daughter-in-law Catherine Sheppard of Cleveland; his daughter Tonya Hartwell (Jason Metsker); his grandchildren, Spencer Hartwell, Logan Hartwell, Samantha Flood, Ayden Hartwell, Evelyn Brauning and Lukas Brauning; his sister Glady Lemity of Wheeling; and his sister-in-law Mary Prinkey (Denee Schorle).
