He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford P. Snell and Martha M. Snell (Hoskinson); his brother William Snell; and his sister-in-law Alice Yoakem. He is survived by: his wife Kim; his brother-in-law John Kelley; his nieces and nephews, Troy Snell (Penny), Jonna Ritchie (Patrick), Misty Snell, Stasia Jackson (Chris) and Shonda Moore; and his great-nephews, Chase Ritchie (Emily) and Joseph Ritchie.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to any Veterans Charitable Fund or any Children's Fund in his memory.
