He was predeceased by: his parents, Alanzo Richard and Roberta Elizabeth Simons (Banks); his wife Carol Joyce Quillen; and his sister Dorothy Geitgey. He is survived by: his daughters, Amy Simons of Creston, Cindy (Bruce Slater) of Wooster and Vivian (Bruce Widmer) of Sterling; his grandchildren, Kyle Simons, Taylor Simons, Nick (Kim Slater), Shaun (Kelly Slater), Alisha (Justin Gasser), Vindy Powell and JD Widmer; and his brother Richard (Linda Simons). He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren.
