Aleta Monroe Obituary
The world bids farewell to Aleta Monroe of Steubenville, Ohio, departing on June 5, 2025 at the age of 79. Aleta leaves behind memories cherished by the community. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
Though Aleta may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Aleta touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Locust and Pearl Locust; and her siblings, John, Eugene, Ronald Locust and Marjorie Locust Wilson.
She is survived by: her sons, Martinez Monroe (Marty) of Steubenville and Erik Locust of Steubenville; and her nephew Steven Wilson.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Second Baptist Church (717 Adams St, Steubenville, OH 43952).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Aleta's memory to Shaffer Plaza, in recognition of the care and support it provides for her son, Marty, and others.
