She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert P. Palmer and Gladys G. Cable Palmer; her husband Charles F. "Chuck" Schmidt; her brother John Robert Palmer; her siblings-in-law, Bill Shanley and Donna Palmer; her niece Kim Palmer; her nephew Jeff Shanley; and her nephew-in-law Pete Beinkampen.
She is survived by: her children, Deborah Brooks (O'Brien) and Greg Schmidt (Jane Finstrom); her sister Roberta Shanley; her nieces, Cyndi Beinkampen, Lisa Shanley, Candy Steele and Pam Schwab; her great-nieces and great-nephews, Justin Beinkampen, Jay Shanley, Jenna Bishop and Marlaina Schwab; her friend Helen Unsold; Mark Brooks, Jill Rhinehart, Brandon Brooks (Kelsey), Kinsey, Nic, Abby and Zack.
