He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Sweeney and Catherine Kenny Sweeney (Kitty); and his brother Patrick Sweeney. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Sweeney (Sedoti); his sons, Daniel Sweeney (Lataucia) of Columbus and Timothy Sweeney; his brother James Sweeney (Mary Kay); his brother-in-law Paul Sedoti; and his niece Jamie Proya (Jeff).
