She was predeceased by: her parents, Russell Blaine and Rebecca Virginia Ferrebee; her husband Nathaniel "Dickie" Hicks; her daughter Jeananne Thorn (Boston); and her grandson Sir Boston Jr..

She is survived by: her sisters, Leona "Patty" Roscoe, Hazel Lamasters and Mary George; and her children, Sir Boston Sr., Willie Boston III (Brenda) and Di Anna Boston. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren, her family, friends, former coworkers, nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors.

Viewing was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Gregory-Martin Chapel (255 S 7th St, Steubenville, OH 43952).
