He was predeceased by: his wife Anna C. Dear (Deffenbaugh); and his daughter Amy M. Dear. He is survived by: his daughters, Kimberly McGrew (Baxter) and Heather Haysler; his grandchildren, Tyler Westfall (Kelsey), Samantha Westfall (Ryan Gatto), Trenton, Anna Haysler (Braeden Martin) and Mahki Haysler; and his great grandchildren, Cayden Ebb, Ava Ebb, Mason Westfall and Mylan Sandy. He is also survived by many brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, extended family and his many friends.
