He is survived by: his brothers, Alan Keith Monroe and David Barker (June); his children, Danielle Barker, Robert Lewis Barker Jr. and Kara Washington; his sisters, Deborah Sizemore, Regina Carter, Deniece Robinson, Lisa Sizemore, Sonya Sizemore-Prewitt, LaKisha Horsley and Raena Lyons-Powers; and his sister-in-law Carol Monroe. He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
