He was predeceased by: his father Richard Birkhimer; and his sister Shirley VanMeter. He is survived by: his children, Richard Birkhimer of Wheeling, WV, Robert T. "Bob" Birkhimer of Wellsurg, WV, Jason E. Birkhimer of Steubenville, OH, Shawn F. Birkhimer of Pittsburgh, PA and Patty Bartz of Wellsburg, WV; his siblings, Richard Birkhimer and Francis Miller (Frank); and his grandchildren, Jeremy R., Cierra R., Richie, Shawn and Max Birkhimer.
