He was predeceased by: his parents, Dennie Lee Chaffin and Ardith Chaffin (Chapman); his stepmother June Chaffin (Rose); his wives, Linda Mae Chaffin (Fowler) and Dorothy Ann Chaffin (Kirk); his siblings, Elmer Chaffin (Sharon), Bill Chaffin, Larry Chaffin, Clinton Chaffin and Pauline Chaffin; and his brothers-in-law, Ray Kirk and John Kirk.
He is survived by: his children, Lindora Hubel (Chaffin), Sherrie Chaffin, Troy Chaffin, Jr., Brenda (Ron) and Jason Chaffin (Liz); his grandchildren, Cory Hubel, Kara Hubel (John), Ashlee Lucas, Michael Collier, Dustin Collier, Derrick Chaffin, Leslie, Joshua Cordell (Jessica), Nicole Marshall (Cameron), Zechariah Cordell, Alyssa Cordero (Eli) and Alex Chaffin; his siblings, Lois Chaffin (Perry), Mary Gage (Craig), Jean Lane (Bruce) and Eugene Chaffin (Juanita); and his nephew Elmer Lee Chaffin. He is also survived by 16 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
