He was predeceased by: his father Larry Powers; his grandparents, CJ, Viola Powers, David and Margaret Calhoun; his aunt Mary Lou Powers; and his mother-in-law Kathleen Schmidt.
He is survived by: his mother Carol Powers (Dick Kennelly); his son Aidan Powers; his wife Shannon Powers (Schmidt); his son Connor; his sister Kathleen Walker (Nick); his father-in-law James Schmidt; and his siblings-in-law, Jamie Clapper (Lee) and Jason Schmidt (Caroline Cantner). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and close friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Redmon Funeral Home (3633 Darrow Rd, Stow, OH 44224). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Glioblastoma Foundation in his memory, an organization committed to advancing research and providing support for those affected by this challenging illness.
