He was predeceased by: his parents, Doris Akers and Wayne Akers; his daughter Cynthia Akers; and his siblings, Betty Skeans and Jon Akers.
He is survived by: his daughters, Cindi, Sharon Akers-Tower and Elizabeth; his son-in-law Scott Reynolds; his grandchildren, Kaleigh, Stephen, Shantelle, Aleigha, Jaden, Lucas and Logen; his great grandchildren, Jaxon, Brady and Harper; his longtime lady Mary Bise (Mitzie); Tami Bowersock and Laura Medlin.
