It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vance Murphy Jr. of Stow, Ohio, who passed away on September 26, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Vance Murphy Jr. to pay them a last tribute.
Though Vance may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Vance touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Vance Murphy, and Harriet Murphy, Sr. (Gordon); his sister Donna Metzger; and his brother-in-law Doyle Metzger. He is survived by: his sister Patricia Morgan of Cuyahoga Falls; his nieces and nephews, Jocelyn Kilpatrick (Robert), Carol Metzger, Karen White (Steve), Steve Townsend (JoAnn) and Donald Metzger; and his brother-in-law David Townsend (Marilyn).
In lieu of flowers the family asked that memorials in Vance's name be made to Crossroads Hospice Charitable Foundation, 10810 E. 45th St. Suite 300, Tulsa, OK 74146.
