With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Charlene M. McClain (Strasburg, Ohio), who passed away on October 28, 2025 at the age of 99. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Charlene is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Charlene's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilbur Beitzel and Eunice Beitzel (Bates); her husband Boyd McClain; and her son James McClain. She is survived by: her children, David McClain (Barb) of Waynesburg, Sue Borsellino (Micky) of Waynesburg, Jenny Merryman of Bolivar and Jane Goodnight (Timothy) of Bolivar; and her daughter-in-law Jeanie. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home- Strasburg (140 S Bodmer Ave, Strasburg, OH 44680). A celebration of life will be held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
