He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Lally Burkhardt; his children, Matthew Jaskela of Arizona, Megan Elder (Sean) of North Carolina and Mackenzie Burkhardt (Fotis); his sister Karla Wilson (Minor) of Kentucky; his grandchildren, Malachi, Ezekiel and Irie Elder; and his siblings-in-law, Richard Lally, Martha Hurtuk, Miriam Holden (Charles) and Anne Lally. He is also survived by nine nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church (878 Commercial Ave SW, New Philadelphia, OH 44663). A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
