He was predeceased by: his parents, William Smith and Evelyn Cartwright Smith; his brothers, Billy and Jimmy; and his brother-in-law Howard Haut.
He is survived by: his wife Teresa Willis Smith; his children, Megan Foster (Alan) of Strasburg, Michael Smith (Ashley) of Bolivar, Missy Warther (Kurt) of North Canton and Lili Vogt; his siblings, Steven Smith of Strasburg, Jeff Smith (Sharon) of Strasburg and Diana Haut of Las Vegas; and his grandchildren, Kadience, Lyla, Colson, Luke, Weston and Korbin. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
