He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Wise and Ruth Wise of Bellaire, Ohio.; and his sister Dorothy Nething Griffith. He is survived by: his wife Helen Swenk Nething (Schwank); his sons, Don (Mary Ann) and Dennis Nething; his daughter-in-law Lori Phile Nething; his grandsons, Daniel Nething of Cincinnati, Cory Nething (Kylee), Benjamin Nething (Margeaux) and Brock (Jessica); and his great grandchildren, Virginia, Roy Nething, Will, Charlee Nething, Sawyer, Christopher and Parker.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Jr. Fair Market Livestock program, via Portage County Fair, c/o Dale Nething.
