He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis S. Sheaffer and Elizabeth Sheaffer (Bette). He is survived by: his wife Judy; his daughters, Jenna Sheaffer and Dr. Leah Sheaffer (Russ Sakacs); and his siblings, Kevin (Jill), Liz Sheaffer and Mary Lou Mondo (Chuck). He is also survived by nephews and many great nieces and nephews.

Donations in Doug's memory may be made to Freedom Greyhound Rescue or Portage Animal Protective League.
