He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruth Lear and Reed Lear; his sister Joan Lear; and his former wife Mary Alice. He is survived by: his wife Dianne Pasela Lear; and his stepchildren, Mark Ostrowski (Brenda), Richard Pasela, Maria Pasela Brooks (Mark) and Brian Pasela (Tonette).
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Corrigan Craciun Funeral Home (20820 Lorain Rd, Fairview Park, OH 44126). A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the St. Angela Merici Catholic Church (20970 Lorain Rd, Fairview Park, OH 44126). A burial will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 at the Holy Cross Cemetery (14609 Brookpark Rd, Brook Park, OH 44142).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in his memory be made to St. Angela Merici Catholic Church.
