He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin J. and Wiltrude; and his brother Randy. He is survived by: his wife Marilynn; his daughter Jenna Elizabeth Rupp (Jordan); his siblings, Sharon Ehresman (late Max), Sandy Moeschberger (late Melvin), Jeanne Stauffer (Malcolm) and Judy Wanner (Loren); and his sisters-in-law, Nancy Osborn and Jeanne Dickson (Jim).
