He was predeceased by: his son John "Jack"; his siblings, Stanley, George, Daniel and Frances Melnik; and his parents, John and Johanna.
He is survived by: his wife Anita; his daughters, Michelle Fry (late John), Mary Louis (Joseph) and Jane Reed; his grandchildren, Jonathan, Anthony, Dan, Rebecca, Tim, Justin, Johanna and Daniel; and his great grandchildren, Peter, Missy and Jonah.
