Anna Ruth Leenheer Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Anna Ruth Leenheer (Struthers, Ohio), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 25, 2025 at the age of 106. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Teresa Fratzuly Filipan-Petkovich and Joseph Filipan; her husband Edward Leenheer; her siblings, Josephine Pavlacich (Jay), Raymond, Ignatius and Martin Filipan; her stepchildren, Edward Leenheer (Dolly) and Joan Utley; and her great grandchild Noa Maris Leenheer.
She is survived by: her stepfather Nicholas Petkovich; her sons, William Leenheer of Norwood, Thomas Leenheer (Cathy) of Zelienople, Leonard Leenheer (Barbara) of Parma and Ronald Leenheer (Victoria) of Struthers, Ohio; and her grandchildren, Chandra Leenheer, Christina Augustine (Anthony), Thomas Leenheer (Christy), Joseph Leenheer (Jana), Kristen Burcham (Grant), Brian Leenheer (Samantha), Mark Leenheer (Alexandra), Corey Higham (Sarah) and Justin Higham (Kinsey). She is also survived by 19 great grandchildren, and several dear nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that contribitions be made to the St. Nicholas Church (Christ Our Savior Parish) endowment fund.
