Claire will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around her. Though Claire is no longer present, the bonds she created and the experiences shared will endure. Claire’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew her.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred J. Melillo and Ethel Melillo (Sebok); and her husband John M. Kopcsos. She is survived by: her daughters, Christina Kopcsos of Struthers, OH and Alisha Benson (David) of St. Marys, OH; and her pet Penny. She is also survived by many extended family, close neighbors and good friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home (270 N Main St, Poland, OH 44514). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
The family is requesting that material tributes take the form of contributions to her two daughters to help with funeral expenses.
