Lois Mae Cannon Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Lois Mae Cannon of Struthers, Ohio, born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 6, 2025 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis Bott and Leona Bott (Brickner); her husband Richard Duane Cannon; her son Michael Leo Macklen III; her stepdaughter Tracie Hensley; her stepson-in-law Raymond Dudik; and her brothers, Louis and Leon Bott.
She is survived by: her children, Marilyn J. Planinsek (Ed) of Bridgeville, PA, Susan C. Simkins (Paul) of Austintown, OH, Lori M. Macklen of Greenville, SC, Kevin J. Macklen (Debra) of The Villages, FL, Wayne D. Macklen (Rea) of Bethel Park, PA and Richard L. Macklen (Meribeth Pantall) of Struthers, OH; her stepdaughter Jill E. Dudik of Canfield, OH; her daughter-in-law Denise Macklen of Bethel Park, PA.; and her sister-in-law Joan Bott of Pleasant Hills, PA. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:45 PM at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home (11 Spring St, Struthers, OH 44471). A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made in Lois's name to Hospice of the Valley Hospice House, 9803 Sharrott Road, Poland, OH 44514, or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
