He was predeceased by: his parents, William Sr. Pekkanen and Jennie Pekkanen (Marttala); his brother Bob Pekkanen; and his son-in-law Dennis Shetter. He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Rummel; his children, William J. Pekkanen III of Struthers, Kimberly Ann Shetter of Struthers and Richard Lee Pekkanen (Marie) of Boardman; his brother Ron Pekkanen (Diane) of Poland; his grandchildren, Christina Bakos (Alan), Jennifer Shetter, Kevin Pekkanen, Cory Pekkanen, Joseph Shetter (Kristen) and Ryan Shetter; his great grandchildren, A. J., Elizabeth, Zak Bakos, Bella, Colton and Hunter Shetter; and his sister-in-law Karen Pekkanen.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home - Poland (270 N Main St, Poland, OH 44514). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home (270 N Main St, Poland, OH 44514).
