He was predeceased by: his parents, Ferdinand L. Deetz and Clara Deetz (Shutt); his former wife Thelma; his wife Janet Deetz; and his siblings, Ralph, Floyd, Ivan, Henry, Clayton, Geneva and Kitty.
He is survived by: his children, William Deetz (Tina) of Sugarcreek and Marcia Lahmers (Thomas) of Ashland; his grandchildren, Christy Hulse (Joel), Michele Lahmers, Matthew Lahmers (Heather), Mackenzie Deetz (Daniel Sixiengmay), Spencer Wade Deetz (Samantha) and Dawson L. Deetz; his great grandchild Sister Ruth Gerber of Walnut Creek; and his sister-in-law Jean Deetz of Arizona.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Union Hill Church (7877 Union Hill Rd NW, Sugarcreek, OH 44681). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
