With sadness, we share the passing of Lavon Luke Daugherty of Sugarcreek, Ohio. Lavon, born on August 21, 1928, passed away on June 6, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Daugherty and Narola Daugherty (Luke); his wife Joan M. Sayre; and his sisters, Lanora LaBant, Juanita Romick and Delores Fitzpatrick.
He is survived by: his children, Gary (Robin Daugherty) of Burbank, Bruce (Marcia Daugherty) of Wooster, Rick (Bette Daugherty) of Ashtabula and Julie (Jerry Craycraft) of Grove City; his grandchildren, Laurie Ksiazek (Joe), Joe Daugherty (Julie), Jara Palmer (David), Jenna Young (Jason), Jade Sanders (John Caleb), Bill Billington (Casey), John Moran and Michelle Hamby; and his caregivers, Edna Zimmerly, Esther Keim, Ida Raber, Lovina Davis and Katelyn Zimmerly. He is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren.
