He is survived by: his wife Naomi Zedlitz (Izzy); his children, Tina Michalkiewicz (Tom), Tom Zedlitz (Connie), Tammy Vaughn and Tim Zedlitz (Julie); and his sister Patricia Zimmerman. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
