She was predeceased by : her parents, Harvey Johnson and Faye Johnson; her husband Jim DeJute; her siblings, Milan Johnson and Mary Potter; and her daughter Suzanne Tekler.

She is survived by : her siblings, Bob Johnson and Nancy Martin (Tenn); her sons, Robert Mitchell (Alabama), John Mitchell (Maine) and Jeff Mitchell (Florida); her stepdaughter Mary DeJute (Texas); and her pet Roxie.
