He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Ellinger and Nancy Ellinger. He is survived by: his grandchildren, Chelsea, Mark, Cassie, Nick, Grace and Claire; his great grandchildren, Brennen and Koah; his wife Paula; his children, Matthew McHugh, Jennifer Collins (Lee) and Larry McHugh (Melissa); and his siblings, Walter Ellinger, Ron Ellinger (Keri), Tom Ellinger (Terrie), John Ellinger (Betsy), Neil Ellinger (Bruce) and Nancy Allen (Mike). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Weigel Funeral Homes - Swanton (204 Chestnut St, Swanton, OH 43558).
Memorial contributions in his memory may be made to Swanton Public Library and WGTE NPR.
