He was predeceased by: his parents, John Schnell and Myrtle Schnell (Sweet); and his grandsons, Josh Schnell and Seth Burough. He is survived by: his wife Jane Hofbauer; his children, Todd Schnell (Kim), Tom Schnell (Anne Tallon), Caroline Burough (David) and Kevin Schnell; his grandchildren, Megan Schnell, Jonathan Schnell, Laura Schnell, Jason Burough and Jesse Brown (Jess Wait); his great grandchildren, Callie Schnell, Avery Jane Schnell, Eevee Mary and Bellatrix Helena Brown; his brother Jack Schnell (Eileen); and his sister-in-law Robin Mullet (Dick). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, loving family members and friends.
