He was predeceased by: his parents, Byron Watkins and Elsie Watkins (Dailey); his brother John "Jack" Watkins (Dorothy); and his sister-in-law Jacqueline Watkins. He is survived by: his brother Robert Watkins; and his nieces and nephews, Julie, John (Jan), Cory, Suzanne, Josh, Nate, Troy, Alexis and Anthony.
He was gracious during covid and went to his costumers' homes to cut their hair and when they were unable to come into the barbershop due to illness.
