We announce the death of Marlene Hittler of Sylvania, Ohio, who passed away on August 31, 2026, at the age of 94. Marlene will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Harms and Garnet Harms; her husband Jim; and her sister Kathryn Creque. She is survived by: her children, Robert (Deb), Richard (Cathy), David (Kathy) and Diane; her grandchildren, Justin, Jeremy, Sarah (CJ), Matthew, Ethan (Becca), Seth (Amanda) and Tara; and her great grandchildren, Kaiya, Oliver, Hannah, Mia, Lyla, Brynn, Kohen, Ryder and Colten.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St Joseph's Catholic Church (5373 Main St, Sylvania, OH 43560). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church - Sylvania (5373 Main St, Sylvania, OH 43560).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, 3000 East River Rd., Perrysburg, OH 43551; Sunshine Foundation, Inc. (Sunshine Children's Home), 7223 Maumee-Western Road, Maumee, OH 43537; or to a charity of the donor's choice.
