He was predeceased by : his parents, Cornelius May and Martha May (Smeltzer); and his siblings, Doris Main, Bill and Jim May.

He is survived by : his wife Karen May (Rydman); his children, Doris Clement (John), Bobby May (Karen) and Tony Rydman (Becky); his grandchildren, Lindsey, Madeline, Hannah, Bekah, Elli, Cody, Bre, Brandon, Amber and Alex; his great grandchildren, Elyse, Amelia, Maximus, Freddy and Pierre; and his sister Sue Dehnbostel.
