He was predeceased by: his wife Patricia D. Friend; his parents, Frank Friend and Loretta Friend; and his siblings, Sony, Bill (Helen) and Linda Wade.
He is survived by: his children, Kim and Robert Pierce; and his niece Kim Layton.
