It is with sadness that the passing of Finley Gambrel Jr. of Thompson, Ohio is shared. Finley, born on December 10, 1947, passed away on October 16, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Finley Gambrel and Geneva Bargo Gambrel; and his siblings, Betty Gayle Koehn, Effie Williamson, Harold Gambrel, Dan Gambrel, Rosa Jackson, Gretel "Sis" Mills, Genoa Hubbard and Bonnie Gambrel.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Gambrel (Sanders); his children, Karen Gambrel, Finley James Gambrel (Misty) and Daniel Gambrel (Emily); his grandchildren, Julia Grzep, Matthew Grzep, Abbey Grzep, Dannion Winnen, Bryce Delano, Aubrey Sells, Riker Gambrel and Effie Gambrel; his sisters, Dora Bissett and Lois Gambrel; his niece Beverly McDaniel (Tim); and his nephew David Rehard (Leisha). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the DeJohn Funeral Home & Crematory (126 South St, Chardon, OH 44024). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
