He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Preston and Sara Preston (Butcher); his daughters, Cheryl Preston and Kimberly Dillon (Jerry); his grandson Brett Dillon; and his siblings, Patsy Preston and Ernie Preston (Betty).
He is survived by: his children, Marci Britton (Adam) of Newark and Gary Preston, II of Columbus; and his grandchildren, Brooke Moore (Traviss), Amanda Lamberti (Frank), Ashley Pack (Steven), Tabytha Preston, Kevona Preston and Ford Britton. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 31st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home (1850 W Main St, Newark, OH 43055). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 31st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
