He was predeceased by: his parents, Rufus Cecil and Cordelia Jane Crader; his wife Thelma; and his son-in-law Chuck Shafer. He is survived by: his children, Roger "Lee" Crader (Melody), Mitzi Shafer and Christine Hoffer (Rich); his grandchildren, Charlie (Michelle), Jessica (Calvin), Brian (Mallory), Noah (Lindsey) and Nate; his great grandchildren, Autumn, Adi, Avery, Cash, Peri, Veda, Dia and Oscar; his sister Loretta O'Neal; and his caregiver Katie Bowshier. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Services (56 S Main St, Thornville, OH 43076). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to FairHoPe Hospice, 282 Sells Rd, Lancaster, Ohio 43130, in Gordon's memory.
