He was predeceased by: his parents, Sylvanus Schafer and Arlena Schafer (Seibert); his brother James Schafer; and his sister-in-law Shirley Diller. He is survived by: his wife Yvonne R.; his stepsons, Kenneth Hossler (Jill) and Kevin Hossler (Nichole); his grandsons, Jacob Hossler (Heather), Tyler Hossler, Kennedy Hossler (Ashley) and Kasey Hossler (Jill Fox); and his siblings-in-law, Phyllis Hossler (James) of Fostoria, Lynn Dewald (John) of Fostoria and Tom Diller (Linda) of Indiana.
