He was predeceased by: his parents, Cleo R. Lutz and Lena Z. Lutz (Homler); and his siblings, Jerry G. Lutz, John F. Lutz, Sue J. Montgomery and Anna K. Conger.
He is survived by: his sons, Michael L. Lutz (Annette) of Findlay and Timothy R. Lutz (Shari) of Alvada; and his siblings, George E. Lutz (Phyllis) of Bloomville, William T. Lutz (Sharon) of Bloomville, Jennifer E. Fatzinger (Roger) of Tiffin and Deborah J. Fassler (Randy) of Tiffin. He is also survived by five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren.
