He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Bentz and Gervace Bentz (House); and his siblings, Paul, Donald, Jim Bentz, Infant Sally, Betty Ott, Anna Margaret Voss and Susanne P..
He is survived by: his children, Jeffrey Bentz (Lynn) of Tiffin, Cathy Watson (Mike) of Tiffin, Richard Bentz of Tiffin, Phyllis Stanton (Mark) of Tiffin and Helen Krupp (Brad) of Monroe, Michigan. He is also survived by grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren, and anticipation for a great-great-grandchild.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 21st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory (214 S Monroe St, Tiffin, OH 44883). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, September 22nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Seneca Memory Gardens (4565 US-224, Tiffin, OH 44883).
