With profound sadness, we say goodbye to James L. Oberlander of Tiffin, Ohio, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. James left this world on June 4, 2025 at the age of 98, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Gorman Oberlander and Beulah Oberlander (Snavely); his spouse E. Cedella Kaiser; his son D. Edwin Oberlander; and his sister Jane Clabaugh.
He is survived by: his children, James M. Oberlander (Bonnie) of Tiffin, Dr. Richard D. Oberlander (Betty) of Pickerington, Carol Pagnard (David) of Indianapolis and Marilyn Bentz of Gahanna; his grandchildren, Sheri, Lori, Tiffany, Krista, Jason, Greg, Megan, Hannah, Ashley, Landon, Tyler, Matthew and Kiley; and his sister Irene Housley. He is also survived by 22 great grandchildren; and 3 great, great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM at the Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory (236 S Washington St, Tiffin, OH 44883). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to Stein Hospice or a charity of the donor's choice.
