It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John Klingshirn Sr. of Tiffin, Ohio, who passed away on January 2, 2021, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Klingshirn and Gertrude Klingshirn (Kirian); and his brothers-in-law, Ed Schoewe and Dan Sturbaum. He is survived by: his children, John Klingshirn Jr. (Kim) of Tiffin, Martin Klingshirn (Deb) of Tiffin, Russell Klingshirn (Charlotte) of Shippensburg, PA, Frank Klingshirn of Tiffin and Natalie Klingshirn of Tiffin; and his siblings, Otto Klingshirn (Julie) of Tiffin, Mike Klingshirn of Bascom, Anna Schoewe of Huron, Mary Medina (Andy) and Helen Sturbaum of Sandusky. He is also survived by six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren.

Visitation for family and friends will also be held on Friday, from 10-11 a. m., at the Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin where masks and social distancing will be required.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Seneca County Humane Society.

“to the children of John: i am sorry for your loss, but as i grow older myself, i sense that death may not be so bad. i once told my daughter-in-law, who does not live near (with my son Carlos), that at least if i were dead i could watch my grandson from heaven, thereby being able to see him whenever i wished. i believe he can look down on you and yours any time he wishes, so he is still present in your lives.”
