Thomas left this world on October 13, 2025 at the age of 81, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Gabel and Grace Gabel (Willey); his children, Becky Perna and David Gabel; his grandson Seth Wilcox; and his siblings, Richard, James, Michael Gabel and Janet Crosby.
He is survived by: his daughter Barbara Gabel of Findlay; his daughter-in-law Lynn Gabel of Tiffin; and his sister Karen Smith of Republic. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Engle-Shook Funeral Home (135 N Washington St, Tiffin, OH 44883). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at the Seneca Memory Gardens (4565 US-224, Tiffin, OH 44883).
